One Day Overview for Industry
“Does your organization really understand what it leaves on the table every day?
Without understanding how the different areas of the company really impact each
other, management’s ability to understand the bigger, more fundamental struggles
within the business is blocked. Without that understanding, there is little possibility
of constructing and implementing a strategy that will cause a dramatic leap in overall
bottom line performance.

The 1-Day Overview for Industry is intended for Executive level personnel. The session
introduces your company to the Holistic Approach to Business and will demonstrate
and quantify the effects on overall company performance that the Theory of Constraints
can deliver.”

One Day Operations Management Workshop
“This highly proven and effective workshop demonstrates the issues blocking modern
manufacturing from embracing the concepts seen in The Goal. Through interactive
computer simulations, participants learn first hand how to identify, schedule and
manage constraints and the bottom line implications of doing so.”

Two Day Operations Management and Supply Chain Workshop
“Building off the One-Day Operations Workshop, participants learn how to connect
the links in modern supply chain through simple but highly effective metrics and
inventory management techniques and how to leverage improvements in Operations into
that supply chain. Relevant and modern case studies will be presented to demonstrate
the application and effectiveness of these concepts.”

Half Day CCPM Session – 3 hours
This introductory session will expose attendees to the common sources of disruptions
in the project environment and how Critical Chain Project Management answers these
issues in the planning and execution phase.
Objectives
- Confirm the issues faced in all project environments.
- Identify the root causes for the difficulty in meeting scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Understand the “cascading effect” that prevents gains in project variability.
- Learn and apply the fundamental concepts of Critical Chain project management.
- Why starting later often means finishing earlier.
- Why removing safety from projects actually improves time line predictability.
- Why your planning must start from the end, not the beginning of a project.
- Relate Critical Chain project management to portfolio performance and organizational
objectives.

One Day CCPM Session
This introductory hands-on workshop presents a solution – based on recent advances
in project and resource scheduling – that allows organizations to systematically
deliver projects on time while exposing hidden capacity to undertake more projects.
- Relate Critical Chain project management to portfolio performance and organizational
objectives.
- A basic understanding of CCPM planning techniques (Buffer sizing and placement)
- A basic understanding of CCPM execution techniques (Predictive buffer management)

Two Day CCPM Session
The Two Day Workshop builds off of the one-day workshop. The second day is spent
learning and applying manual CCPM planning and execution techniques on simulated
projects.
Day two can also include a discussion about controlling multi-project environments
through the use of the software application Concerto APRS™, Buffer recovery strategies
and scenarios and constraint based pipelining.
Through its depth of resources and its unique relationship with Realization, the
maker of Concerto APRS™, CMG is one the only CCPM service providers in the world
that can guide and implement all of the necessary components of a Multi-Project
CCPM implementation (Education, Facilitation and Technology).

Throughput Improvement Simulation
Learn by doing. This experiential simulation helps your employees and key suppliers
learn about throughput improvement techniques and then allow them to experience
the results by actually applying these methods to their own operations in a simulated
manufacturing plant.

Measurement Nightmare Workshop
“Learn a practical approach for implementing the Theory of Constraints and a new
measurement process at the workshop, co-sponsored by the IMA and Constraints Management
Group.
The workshop will deliver:
- Understanding of the principles underlying Theory of Constraints (TOC) including
the 5 step process for ongoing improvement.
- Explanation of the evolution of TOC from the initial production solution to a series
of solution sets dealing with distribution, project management and external constraints,
both in the market place as well as with suppliers. All of the solution sets apply
the same principles of constraints management and use common TOC tools for developing
breakthrough ideas and effective communication.
- Explanation of Throughput World and how this concept often results in chronic conflict
with traditional Cost World systems and beliefs.
- Process for exposing conflicting policies, measures and work practices and how to
generate win-win solutions for both the organization and individual.
- A new and innovative, yet practical, approach developed by the seminar facilitator
for achieving maximum results from your TOC production solution.
- Understanding IMA 's recently released Statements on Management Accounting (SMA)
standard on Theory of Constraints.
